    SEPTEMBER 21st 9:30 AM

We like to start the year off with a day spent learning new skills for camping and practicing old ones! Our introduction to camping day is a great experience for all campers experienced and new. We look at different camp set ups and equipment, cook a meal together in a camp kitchen, and give scouts a chance to set up a tent.

This year we will be focusing on preparing a meal as a group, cleaning up as a group and outdoor first aid. As always, scouts will get to test their six essentials knowledge and work on belt loops and pins.

During Family Free Time in the afternoon families are welcome to go swimming in the springs (this can only be done on free time and is a family event, not a scout event).

Cost for this event is $2 per car Park entry fee plus any fees associated with swimming in the springs.

Every year our pack honors veterans with our annual Veterans Day Campout. At this campout we reflect on the importance of the American Flag, discuss proper displaying of the flag and end the day with a flag retirement ceremony.

This year we will be hosting this campout at Boy Scout Camp Soule. At this location scouts will have a chance to sleep in a screened-in adirondack shelter (families will have to stay in tents so you will still need them) and have the bonus of range time on Saturday 11/9.

Cost for this camp out will be:
